In this conversation with Dr. Vincent Bacote, Professor of Theology and Director of the Center for Applied Christian Ethics at Wheaton College (IL), we discuss his book The Political Disciple, the challenges he sees and is studying regarding Christian political engagement, helpful practices for reshaping our political engagement, and the hopefulness he experiences while working with the next generation.
Dr. Bacote is a contributor to the 31 Days of Unity campaign, which launches in just a few weeks! As we approach a national election, we invite Christians of all backgrounds, ideologies, cultures, and ethnicities to join The (Re)union Project’s 31-Days of Unity Campaign ⎼ a campaign to encourage personal reflection, prayer, and embodied practice to shift our focus away from polarizing politics and towards the unifying presence of Christ, fostering a shared life that transcends election results.
For the 31 days of October, you will receive daily texts — each with a prayer for unity, scripture reference, and a link to a short video reflection.
